"Have recently moved to Aberdeen and had my brother visiting so we opted for Soul due to its close proximity to my new home and its easy access on Union Street. The food was excellent, great atmosphere and an extensive and delicious cocktail menu."
Trip Adviser Review “Best pub/restaurant in Aberdeen”
"Great food, drinks and service. Food prices are about right by Aberdeen standards but the quality of that food I would say is much higher. Spent 3 months in Aberdeen and this was my favourite place to eat. Even when this place is quiet, it looks amazing and the atmosphere is always good. I spent far too much money in this place!!! The fish and chips is out of this world!!!!"

Yell Review
"2012 Good reviews and encouragement need to be given to fish and chip shops that make and sell good traditional products. I have found one such shop, Sammys in Caol near Fort William who make excellent fish and chips, because the fish which is cooked just right, (not slimy and wet) is coated in light crispy, good tasting batter. Not the sort of slimy, dark, smooth, rubbery, ugh batter, that most fish and chip shops coat their fish in and sell today, at high prices."
Yelp Review
"Sammy's Fish & Chips is a thing of local legend. There are few places in the world that can perfect the art of deep frying things as well as Sammy's. I remember once I gave the girl behind the counter a tenner and she gave me back my change battered and deep-fried.
In all seriousness, there are very few things on the menu which don't come deep fried, most of which are drinks. But god-damn if it's not tasty.
Sammy's is well known around the Caol/Fort William/Spean Bridge area, it seems. I remember at T In The Park hearing chants across the camp-site of "ALL WE WANT! IS SAMMY'S FISH AND CHIPS! SAMMY'S FISH AND CHIPS! SAMMY'S FISH AND CHIPS!" And I'm not ashamed to admit that before I even went home to put my stuff down after the miserable trek back from T in the Park, I took the time to stop for a deep fried haggis. Delicious."
